How do I enter news for the site?
The news system of this website is using RSS aggregation. For your news to show up correctly on the front page, please follow these steps:
- Create a new page by typing the title into the browser URL in the following format: http://wiki.affectivegaming.info/bbi/News/YYYY-MM-DD/TYPE/NAME, where YYY-MM-DD should be changed to the date of the news (for example for May 12, 2010, you would type: 2010-05-12). TYPE should be one of the following: CFP, JOB, or ANNOUNCE. NAME is a short title of your news call, for which you have no restrictions, but the title should ideally be less than 255 characters long.
- Click on the Create link
- In the text editing box, add the categories [[Category:News]] and [[Category:YYYY/MM]], where YYYY is the year (e.g., 2010) and MM is the month (e.g., 05, so it would be [[Category:2010/05]] for this example).
- Type in your news
- Click on Save page
- The news will then automatically appear on the front page with a link to the site you have just created
