Biosemi is a Dutch company that sells EEG, EMG, and ECG measurement hardware and software for research.
Our Experience with the Hardware
The ActiveTwo system provides a nice integrated solution to EEG and EMG recording. The advantages are the headcap system with pin-type electrodes that can be plugged in, allowing for very fast application of EEG. None of the electrodes are dry, all require conductive gel to work properly. No additional grounding needs to be prepared because of the DRL and CMS electrodes included in the EEG. The active electrodes are small and lightweight in their application. The color coding of the electrodes is very helpful (and can be adjusted to personal preference with color stickers). Users can select their sample-rate manually between 2, 4, 8, 16 kHz/channel.
